Ingredients For Gajar Ka Halwa

  • 2-3 green cardamom pods
  • 2 cups winter carrots, grated
  • 3 cups milk
  • ¼ cups ghee
  • 10-12 cashew nuts, chopped
  • 10-12 almonds, chopped
  • ¾ cups sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of saffron

Method

  1. In a heavy bottom kadhai, add ghee and heat it and now add cardamom, saffron, grated carrot, and milk and Cover it.
  2. Keep stirring in between and cook on low flame until it turns tender.
  3. Take another pan and add ghee, cashew nuts, almonds, and Kesar, sauté until golden brown.
  4. Add this dry fruit mixture into the kadhai and mix well.
  5. Now add sugar and salt and mix properly.
  6. Cook for 4 minutes and switch off the flame.
  7. Transfer it to a serving bowl.
