  • 1/4 cup curd
  • hot water
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 cup basmati rice
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • cinnamon
  • cloves
  • cardamom
  • bay leaf
  • cumin seeds
  • 2 onions, chopped

  • 2 green chilli, chopped
  • 1 tsp pound ginger & garlic
  • 2 tomato, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala

  • 1 1/2 cups of water

For Marination

  1. In a bowl add hot water and soak soya chunks for 15 minutes.
  2. After 15 minutes, drain and squeeze the soya chunks.
  3. Now, in a mixing bowl add soya chunks, curd, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well and marinate soya chunks.
  4. Let it sit for 20 minutes and keep it aside for further use.

For Pulao

  1. Firstly, soak rice for 20 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, heat oil in a pressure cooker and add ghee, cumin seeds, cardamom, cloves, bay leaves, and cinnamon stick.
  3. Roast well and add chopped onions, green chillies and saute well.
  4. Now, add the pound ginger garlic and saute.
  5. After that, add tomatoes and saute again.
  6. Furthermore, add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, and garam masala. Saute well.
  7. Then, add marinated soya chunks and cook for 5 minutes.
  8. Now, add coriander leaves, mint leaves, and salt. Mix well.
  9. After that, soaked rice and add water as required.
  10. Cook it until two whistles and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  11. Turn off the flame and serve hot.
