Indian chef Ranveer Brar is an Indian celebrity chef and one of the hosts of Masterchef India. He was born in Lucknow and was inspired by local vendors of kebab in Lucknow to pursue his career in the food industry. From childhood, he started cooking, and he used to learn new recipes from the local confectioners.

Later, he went ahead to join the Institute of Hotel Management, Lucknow, to study culinary. After completing his studies, he started his career at the Taj Mahal Hotel. After that, he opened his restaurant “Morisco,” “il Camino” and “Fishtail” at Fort Aguada Beach Resort in Goa.

He was a host at many cookery shows on Living Foodz. Apart from that, he has received many awards for his noble work and an honorary member at James Beard Foundation.

His recipe list is endless, but here are the two most succulent dishes from his cookbook:

  • Irani Style Chicken Pulao

Irani-style chicken pulao is a festive dish. It is influenced by Irani cuisine and is prepared in Irani style. The ingredients used in this pulao are different from the ingredients used in any regular pulao. So, the ingredients are cranberries, rose petals, sugar syrup with rose water, or orange blossom water. It is made with chicken leg pieces and basmati rice. Chef calls this dish perfect iftar meal and even makes this dish for iftaari, hosted at his home.

  • Anda Keema Roll

This roll is a flatbread wrap stuffed with egg, minced mutton, curd, and vegetable mixture. He shared a memory that he used to eat this roll during childhood on his way back home from school. The chef used to buy these rolls from a roll shop on the streets. From there, he got the idea of making the and keema roll.

2. Chef Kunal Kapur

Chef Kunal Kapur is one of the hosts of Masterchef India. He is also an Indian celebrity chef. Kunal Kapoor was born and brought up in Delhi and was very keen on cooking since childhood. He started learning cooking from his father and grandfather from a very early age. Later, he joined Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Hotel Management, Chandigarh, to learn about the food world. After that, he started his career with Taj Group of Hotels.

He, along with United Ways Delhi, trains underprivileged and unemployed youth in cooking and also raises funds to start their own food business. Currently, he is an executive sous chef at the Leela Kempinski Gurgaon. He was rated as the Best Indian Chef in Delhi by India Today.

  • Khichdi Kebab

Khichdi kebab is made from leftover rice. The kebabs are made with rice, spices, and herbs mixture, shaped into small kebabs. After that, these kebabs are coated with bread crumbs and deep-fried in hot oil. The chef says this dish is very easy and quick to make.

  • Amchuri Bhindi 

Amchuri bhindi is chef Kunal Kapur’s mom’s recipe. It is made with bhindi stuffed with masala and cooked with onion. Once, he told in an interview that he likes this dish very much, and during childhood, he used to eat all onions from the amchuri bhindi dish. He always uses an onion as a key ingredient in his dishes.

3. Chef Sanjeev Kapoor

Chef Sanjeev Kapoor is one of the most renowned and famous celebrity chefs in India. He has won millions of hearts and taught cooking to millions of people by hosting the famous cookery show “Khana Khazana.” He was born in Ambala, Punjab, and after completing school, he started studying at the Institute of Hotel Management Catering & Nutrition, New Delhi. Sanjeev Kapoor also owns a food and lifestyle channel, “Food Food”. He has won many awards, and in 2017 he won Padma Shri, the fourth-highest Indian national honor. He has exceptionally cooking skills and is an inspiration for many.

  • Gilafi Kebab

Gilafi kebab is made from minced mutton mixed with vegetables, spices, and cashew nuts. It is shaped into kebabs and then shallow fried in oil. It is paired with mint and coriander chutney. Gilafi kebab is one of the best mutton minced kebabs with exotic flavors.

  • Rasgulla Pudding 

It is a dessert made from India’s famous sweet rasgulla. The pudding in this recipe is made with vanilla custard powder, rose water, sugar mixture. This mixture is cooked, and that cooled in a refrigerator. When it is completely cooled, rasgullas are mixed with this mixture. It is a unique dessert invented by the chef.
