In Japan and China mostly seafood is used as filling like salmon fish and tuna fish but its vegetarian variant is prepared with vegetables like zucchini, carrot, cucumber and avocado. Another main ingredient used to make sushi is nori sheet, it is seaweed from Japan and without it, making sushi is impossible.

Ingredients For Veg Sushi

  • 1 cup sushi rice, boiled
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp rice wine vinegar
  • 1/2 carrot, chopped
  • 1/2 cucumber, chopped
  • Nori sheets

For Marination

  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp rice wine vinegar

  1. In a mixing bowl, add boiled sushi rice, sugar, and rice wine vinegar and mix it well.
  2. Now take another bowl and add chopped carrot, cucumber, and add sugar, rice wine vinegar for marination.
  3. Marinate them well.
  4. After that, bring a mat and place a nori sheet over it.
  5. Spread the prepared rice on the sheet and line marinated vegetables on top of it.
  6. Then slowly roll the mat over the sheet and slice the sheet with a salmon knife.
  7. Plate it into a nice platter and serve.

Note: Let the marinated vegetables rest for 8-10 hours, but if you want the vegetables crunchy you can make it instantly.
