The Winter season comes with an abundance of vegetables and a variety of fruits, which is why most people prefer to try different food items. The season offers two of the most beneficial fruit and vegetable, that is, orange and carrot, respectively. So, let’s make carrot and orange soup.

While orange is known for its richness in vitamin C, carrot offers Vitamin A, which is known for the protection of the eyes. People at the beginning of the winter season usually prefer to have orange juice or carrot juice. But as the cold starts to rise, people switch to soups. And then prefer the age-old recipes. Carrot and orange soup

  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2  garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 900g Medium Carrots, chopped 
  • 1 Orange, zest 
  • 1 Bay Leaf
  • Salt
  • Water


    1. Take a large pan, put some olive oil and heat it medium /low heat. 
    2. Add garlic and saute until golden brown.
    3. Now, add onion to it, and reduce the flame to low.
    4. Cook for about 10 minutes, until soft, stirring occasionally.
    5.  Add the carrots, orange zest, salt, and water to it.
    6. Continue stirring it for about 2-3 minutes.
    7.  Add the bay leaf, and allow it to boil on sim for approx. 30 mins. 
    8. Blend and then stir through the orange juice.
