 To saute and puree

  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 2 cardamoms
  • 3 garlic
  • 1-inch ginger
  • 1 cup onion
  • 1 ½ cup chopped tomatoes
  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric
  • 10 cashew nuts
  • Salt

 For Matar Paneer Gravy

  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • 1-inch cinnamon
  • Bay leaf – 1
  • One teaspoon red chilli powder
  • One teaspoon garam masala
  • ¾ cup green peas
  • Water
  • One green chilli
  • paneer – 250 gms
  • One teaspoon Kasuri methi
  • Salt
  • One tablespoon coriander leaves
  • 2-4 tablespoon cream

    1. Pour one tablespoon oil into a pan and heat it.
    2. When the oil turns hot, add cardamom, ginger, and garlic.
    3. Fry for a minute.
    4. Now, add onions and saute until they turn light golden in colour.
    5. Put tomatoes, turmeric, and salt according to taste.
    6. Saute for 2-4 minutes and then cover it.
    7. Let it cook until they become soft and mushy.
    8. Add cashews to it.
    9. Take a blender and make a fine puree of it.
    10. Now, in a pan, heat oil and saute cinnamon and bay leaf.
    11. Pour the puree into the pan.
    12. Add chilli powder, garam masala, and coriander powder to it.
    13. Saute it until the masala comes together and becomes thick.
    14. Next, add peas and water to it.mix it properly to make the gravy thick.
    15. Crush the kasuri methi and sprinkle it over the medium flamed gravy.
    16. Add salt.
    17. Finally, add green chilli and paneer.
    18. Stir and switch off the flame.

Serve this amazing restaurant style matar paneer with jeera rice and naan. And garnish it with coriander leaves.
