Ingredients
For Slurry
- 2 tbsp cornflour
- 1/2 tsp chilli flakes
- 2 tbsp refined flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Half cup of water
For Filling
- 3 potato, boiled and mashed
- 1/2 onion, finely chopped
- 1 green chilli, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp spring onion, chopped
- 1 tsp ginger, garlic paste
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/4 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp chaat masala
- 1/2 tsp chilli flakes
- 1 tsp dry mango powder
- 1/4 tsp pepper powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs
- 2 tbsp coriander, finely chopped
For Sauce
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 green chilli, finely chopped
- 2 tsp soy sauce
- 1/2 onion, finely chopped
- 2 tsp vinegar
- 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp tomato sauce
- 1-inch ginger, finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp chilli powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp cornflour
- 1/2 cup of water
Method
For Slurry
- In a small bowl add, cornflour, refined flour, chilli flakes, salt, and water.
- Mix well and keep aside for further use.
For Filling
- In a big bowl, add all ingredients, mash it.
- After that, mix it well and form a dough of this mixture.
- Take some oil and grease your hands, take a small portion and make a ball from it.
- Now take an ice cream stick, split the ball with it, and form it in the lollipop shape.
- Make all lollipops from the remaining mixture with the same process.
- Now take one lollipop and dip it into the slurry, and coat with bread crumbs.
- Coat all lollipops with the same process.
- Heat oil in a pan and add lollipops, and deep fry uniformly.
- Fry it until crisp and golden brown.
- Remove it on absorbent paper.
For Sauce
- In a pan, heat oil and add, green chilli, garlic, ginger, and stir fry.
- After that add, chopped onions, and fry again.
- Then add tomato sauce, vinegar, soy sauce, chilli powder and salt and mix well.
- In a bowl add, cornflour and water and mix it properly.
- Now pour this mixture in sauce and stir continuously until turns glossy.
- The sauce is ready.
The crispy potato lollipop is ready to serve. Serve the smacking aloo lollipop with this spicy sauce.
